Ruby is a stocky 4-year-old sorrel mare with a big personality and lots of potential. She has 6 months of professional training with Hegar Horsemanship and has a solid foundation ready for someone to continue in the direction of their choice. She’s been horse camping and ridden out on trails and handles them well. Ruby would excel as a ranch riding prospect or make a versatile horse for a confident 4H or OHSET youth rider.

Ruby leads, ties, bathes, loads (can be impatient in the trailer), and stands for the farrier (we have had to use dorm gel as she transitioned to shoes)

She requires back shoes and wears boots in the front on trail rides. Ruby can be strong willed at times and is best suited for an experienced handler who appreciates a forward, “red mare” attitude and knows how to give consistent and firm direction.
