Beautiful 6-year-old, 14.3 hand palomino gelding. Very well bred and is a Grandson of the legendary METALLIC CAT. Incredibly well mannered, has great conformation with 3 matching socks and a blaze. This gelding is extremely good natured, gentle and dependable. Rey is a well trained and versatile gelding. In the arena he has a good one hand neck rein, a smooth traveling jog and will lope out with collection. Takes his leads, has a good stop, backs soft and side passes with ease to operate the gates. He is quiet minded and very solid to ride out anywhere. When riding around our neighborhood streets Rey is confident and at ease with fast passing vehicles of every kind as well as motorcycles and bicycles. He has no concerns about all the animals at the mini farm or the charging, barking dogs that we frequently encounter. Rey is equally a Rockstar to ride out on our rugged mountain trails. He has a good paced walk and is happy to lead the group, yet is just as comfortable and content to ride in the middle or at the back of a group trail ride. He is also content to just be rode out on his own. He’s very sure footed and dependable when negotiating the rocky riverbeds and on steep single-track trails. Crosses rivers, creeks, deadfall and trail obstacles. Rey a very quiet minded yet is extremely handy when asked. He is outstanding at sorting cattle and operating a gate quickly when sorting pairs. If you are working cattle on him your cow will not likely get out maneuvered. This wonderful gelding would make a competitive team sorting partner and he also has ranch roping experience. Rey is a versatile gelding with a wonderful and friendly disposition. Catch him where you find him if he doesn’t find you first. He is a get along, peaceful that is a user-friendly confidence builder kind of trail horse. He is pretty as a picture and has no bad habits or vices. Good to tie, tack mount, shoe, bathe, load and haul. Rey is safe, sane and sound.
