Spirit is a beautiful buckskin Quarter Horse/Thoroughbred colt born June 12, 2026.
Spirit is out of AQHA registered mare Smart Lil Melody, a neat little mare with strong cow-horse and performance bloodlines. Melody carries well-known names including Smart Little Lena, Doc O’Lena, Doc Bar, Colonel Freckles, Mr Gun Smoke, Flit Bar, Sugar Bars, and Puro Tivio. Her pedigree brings trainability, brains, quick wit, and athleticism — all traits she consistently passes on to her foals.
His sire is Allspark, a Jockey Club Thoroughbred stallion. Although Allspark was not raced, he was bred for racing with an all-star pedigree. His bloodlines include Grindstone, a Kentucky Derby winner; Black Tie Affair, a graded stakes winner as a two-, three-, four-, and five-year-old; Unbridled, a Kentucky Derby and Breeders’ Cup Classic winner; Mr. Prospector, known as a sire of sires as many of his offspring where notably successful - his bloodlines have influenced Thoroughbreds across the world; and Somethingroyal, the dam, of the great triple crown winner, Secretariat.
Both Allspark and Smart Lil Melody have exceptional temperaments, athletic ability, and pedigrees full of gritty, proven athletes.
Spirit has the potential to make a very exciting performance or real-world working prospect for someone wanting color, brains, athleticism, and personality. He is bold, curious, correct, and already showing the kind of mind and movement that make him hard not to love.
He is expected to mature around 15.1–15.2 hands.
Spirit is being raised on large acreage in a natural herd setting with other foals his age, giving him room to move, socialize, and develop properly. He will receive age-appropriate handling by weaning.
He will be sold unregistered, as his sire is not yet approved with AQHA.
