Registered Morgan Gelding - Experienced Mountain Trial Horse FOR PHOTOS: Go to Craigslist.com: Fort Collins, CO 'Farm and Ranch' Horses for Sale "Trail Horse For Sale" Caesar is a registered Morgan gelding (Triple S Morgans, Crawford, Nebraska), born May 18, 2005. He is approx. 14.5 hands, a handsome palomino with light dappling and a white star. Caesar spent the first ten years of his life on a small ranch on the Northern Colorado Front Range as a Pleasure Horse. These last 10 years he's been a mountain trail horse up at 7,400 feet. He is a well-loved recreational riding horse. He is sound, healthy and has never suffered any significant injury. He has received regular vaccinations, deworming, dental care and hoof trimming throughout his life. He is an experienced trail horse that has regularly rode mountain trails, dirt roads, hills and water crossings. He is comfortable riding along county roads and is generally calm around traffic. Like many horses, he appreciates a confident rider when noisy motorcycles, large trucks or bicycles are nearby. On the ground, Caesar is exceptionally friendly and people-oriented. He comes when called, enjoys human attention, and often follows his owner around like a pet. He stands quietly for the farrier and has been successfully maintained barefoot for the past ten years while using Easy Boots for trail riding. Caesar has experience in both a round pen and arena and has been primarily for pleasure and trail riding. He has a smooth, comfortable trot, backs readily, enjoys covering ground on the trail. His temperament is energetic, playful, and alert while remaining safe and manageable. He has carried young children and consistently shown a calm disposition, even in unexpected situations. He will remain quiet and cooperative while waiting for human assistance (gates to be opened, when entangled in brush or fencing). He trailers well. Although when loaded infrequently he may require patience and encouragement. Caesar is being offered for sale only because of his owner's medical limitations, which have made riding and horse care increasingly difficult. To the right home, he should provide many more years of companionship and enjoyment. Easy Boots, feed, supplements, and other horse-care equipment may be available separately for a modest additional cost.
