Not for riding. Broodmare/recip mare lease only. Happy for her to stay here with her friends while she cooks up your baby for you, but would allow off farm to an approved living situation. Lizzie is my 7yo 16.0hh upper level dressage prospect, who ended her career before it had hardly started with a pasture accident. She has presence, power, springy movement, and the type of brain that thrives in upper level tests where movements are coming up fast. Changes and extended gaits come naturally to her, and all lateral work that she got to was picked up in a matter of minutes. Very inquisitive and friendly. She has always been barefoot with great feet. I have two of her cousins, and my experience is that that line is super smart, super athletic, beautiful movers, and fill out pretty WB-y. Most people guess that Lizzie is a dressage-bred Hanoverian rather than an OTTB! She is the perfect mare to add a touch of refinement to that heavier-built WB stallion you've been drooling over, without compromising on the dressage talent or on maintaining the WB "look". Around the barn, Lizzie is generally pretty easy to deal with. We take ground manners seriously here, so while she is a young horse with energy she knows that she's expected to be polite! She will lead single, double, and I've even led a group of three or four that included her a few times when I didn't want to make multiple trips to the top field on a hot day! She currently lives out in a herd of mares, but in the past has been stalled at night, has had solo turnout, and has been out in a mixed herd. We do want to breed her ourselves down the line, but it looks unlikely to happen this year and if she can be doing something productive and supporting herself in the meantime that would be ideal.
