Registered APH (solid paint) mare, Broodmare (2 foals), 12yo, 15HH. Raven is a beautiful, stocky mare with the experience to either hit the pen, trails OR be your next broodmare.

Due to no fault of her own, Raven is looking for her next home. Unfortunately she is forward and too hot for her current owners and is needing to get into a performance home. This mare is on a mission. She has two foals, one on the ground, one unfortunately passed from a bad situation, but both were/are built to last and she was a wonderful dam. She passed on her sweet demeanor and EVEN her love to groom people.

To the point, here’s the bad. Raven has been sitting roughly 6 months due to pregnancy (she has foaled) so is being sold needing to be brought back into work. Today (pictured and YouTube video is her 8th ride back into work.) She is being ridden here daily but needs time, consistency and effort. She has been coming along slowly while here, but will blossom with continued consistency and time. NO dangerous behavior coming back into work, but is HOT and can be a massive over achiever which can lead to some confusion and/or frustration. A gentle, yet firm hand is reccomended. The goods, which totally overlooks any bad. Raven is the definition of SAFE, predictable and gentle on the ground. This mare will not hurt a fly. Truly, I’d trust her around kids all day. She is SUPER easy to catch no matter the pasture size, cross and hard ties, picks up all feet effortlessly, stands for farrier, vet, body worker, etc. She will stand ALL DAY.. Literally, I’m not joking. Raven loads, unloads, does absolutely ALL the necessary things and MORE on the ground.. and cutest thing ever? She will mutually groom you!

Raven trail rides (LOADS of miles are on this girl!), road rides, crosses just about anything, Sorts/pens cows, is being patterned on barrels as we speak, has shown pleasure classes (western AND English), and even some halter. She has lots of experience and used to even show with kids! All the training is there, she just needs an understanding hand as she comes back into work.
W/T/C, picks up canter from a walk, pivots, spins, rolls back, gives nose, shoulder and hind quarters.
While patterning, which is currently only walk/trot, she shows lots of promise as a barrel horse. This mare is gritty and WANTS TO WORK! Plus, she’s quick.

Raven has minimal maintenance and is an easy keeper. She requires front shoes and feels the most comfortable with consistent body work.
