Skittles is a 17-year-old APHA mare, approximately 14.3 hands, with a sweet demeanor who is fun to ride. She has experience as a lesson horse, arena work, and has been rope tied and goat tied. She does well with both kids and adults riding her, and we have had no problems with her under saddle.

Skittles does have some quirks on the ground that are important for her next owner to understand. She does not like to be tied while saddling or tied to have her feet picked up, and she can be a little reactive on the ground. Because of this, I am not recommending her for a beginner owner.

She will do best with someone who is confident, patient, and experienced in working through these types of behaviors.

She does require regular hock injections. She was scoped and cleared of ulcers in May and has been doing great since then.

Our biggest hope is to find Skittles a loving home with someone who understands her personality, is willing to work with her quirks, and can give her the home she deserves. She has been a special horse for us, and we want to be honest about what she needs so we can find the right fit for her.
