Roxy's Sweet Fancy is a beautiful registered Gypsy Vanner cross mare, registered with the Gypsy Heritage Division of the Gypsy Horse Association. She has a sweet, kind, and people-oriented personality you will love. She loves trail riding and will ride out alone or in groups, and she also has fox hunting experience! She has no vices, sound, barefoot, UTD on everything, and ready to be your next best friend! Roxy stands out in the herd with her striking black color and long, thick flowing Gypsy tail and just enough feathers to look special, but not so much they need special maintenance. You don't have to worry about catching her in the field - she will leave food and friends to come catch you and see what you're going to do today! At the perfect 15hh, Roxy is solid enough to carry a taller rider, but not so big she's hard to mount. She turns 5 this month on July 28th, 2026. She was started lightly with w/t/c and a solid foundation of trail riding, and this past winter hunted the 2025-2026 season with Deep Run Hunt, second flight. She proved herself to be calm around the hounds and in large groups of horses. She is good trying new things and was recently exposed to mounted archery, and did great with the loud sound of arrows hitting the target. Roxy loves being outdoors doing things, and is a trail riding star. She has a brave and curious personality, and is not spooky. She goes out alone, crosses bridges and water, is traffic safe, and is not bothered by things on the trail like hikers with dogs or falling branches. She is NOT gaited, but her Tennessee Walker sire gave her a dash of southern comfort in her ground-covering, easy to ride w/t/c, so you can sit back and enjoy the trail, but get somewhere at the same time! In the arena, Roxy is still young and green, most of her education so far was outdoors. She knows just the basics of w/t/c and is working on balance, bending, and endurance. She is hunt and trail ready, but in the arena needs someone who enjoys bringing along young horses and unlocking their potential. Roxy has not been tried or started on jumping. Roxy is good for the vet, farrier, loads, trailers, bathes, and gets along well with other horses. She can live with mares or geldings, in a stall or out. She loves her outdoors time, but will also cozy up and take a nap in a stall - she even neighs in her sleep! Reason for sale is difficult personal financial issues- otherwise would not sell this great girl. Roxy is the sweetest girl and has the best personality to make someone an amazing trusted partner for the next 20+ years. Lots of videos available!
