Jasper is a very smart gelding that will form a deep bond with a consistent rider. He is super sweet to both other horses and humans.
Pros:
- solid on ground work and is a gem to lunge and round pen
- super easy with his feet and stands great for the farrier
- happy as a clam to live with other horses and loves making friends
- barefoot and only needs a trim
- very low maintence (in the past 3 years he has never been lame and does not have anything physically wrong that I know of)
- UTD on vaccines, farrier, dewomer and negative coggins as of May
Cons:
- struggles to load into a straight load trailer or a trailer with a high step up (does get better with consistency)
- needs a confident rider as he can get sassy and throw in some bucks or spooks
Riding wise, he has been taught to collect, roll back, side pass, and speed transitions between W/T/L. I have ridden him in a bridle, halter, sidepull, and bosal with success. I can see him going many directions. He would not do good in a drill team setting however due to the flags.
