10 year old Arabian gelding, chestnut, approx 15.1 hands.  Dante is broke but has not been ridden in about 4 years.  He is pasture sound, and serviceably sound for very very light riding.  Dante is being offered as a pasture pet, he would be a wonderful companion for an older equestrian who can no longer ride but still enjoys equine company.  Dante exemplifies the historical depiction of the "bedouin arabian" who shared tents with their humans.  Dante loves being with "his" person and would happily follow someone around the yard while they work, garden, etc.  He would of course, provide assistance by moving tools, knocking over supplies, keeping his head over your shoulder to ensure that you are doing the work correctly.  Some of Dante's favorite activities are:  lawn mowing, receiving long grooming sessions (especially butt scratches), and just hanging out with his people.  He may excel at trick training, he is extremely smart and definitely treat motivated.  He may also do well with liberty work.   He is an easy keeper and is barefoot.  Up to date on vaccines and teeth. Stands calmly at hitching post and crossties. Dante does not need any medication to remain pasture sound and comfortable.  It is suspected that he has a chronic suspensory issue in his right hind that has not improved with any treatment, rehab exercises, medication, and time off.
