Meet “Theo”, an all around solid citizen that is easy to love, talented and loves people and dogs. Theo is a 15.1 Morgan X, he has the brain and ability to fit in either the English or Western world with a variety of riders. Whether you are looking for a low level classical dressage horse, an easily trainable Western dressage horse or just a horse you can take on a trail and be a big puppy dog for anyone in your family Theo is worth considering. Theo is an absolute favorite around the barn. He is full of personality, kind, and forgiving. He is willing to take on anything new. In his life he has gone from cattle farms (where we assume he leaned neck reining) to cross country eventing. Riders of any experience can expect a fun, comfortable ride. Theo is coming down from a successful low level eventing career, even landing in the ribbons in the 2024 AEC’s for Starter. He consistently has scores in the low 30’s for dressage in Starter and BN. Theo has started showing schooling shows for Training 2 and 3 and schooling at home First Level with Second Level movements with success. At home you can count on Theo to go through water, over logs, ditches and uneven terrain. He is good with traffic and does not spook with farm equipment, other animals or gunfire. He will ride out alone or with other horses. Theo stands at a mounting block and is patient while being mounted and if girth or stirrups need adjusting. He is the same horse whether he is ridden every day or has had time off. There is no need to longe him or prepare him before getting on. Theo is hard to spook, if startled he will just give a small side step and take a better look. He has never reared or bolted and has a care taker personality. Theo will come when called, easy to handle, saddle, bridle, bathe, groom, and be around. He stands quietly for the ferrier and is respectful of your space. He does not crib and is comfortable living in a stall or being turned out. He is very clean in his stall and would rather pee outside the stall than in. Theo has a big personality for a little guy and does best where he can be the herd leader or simply happy being friends over the fence. Theo practically loads himself in either a straight load or slant, with or without ramp. Theo is sound and an extremely hardy easy keeper. His maintenance requirements are SI and coffin injections and front shoes that are all typical for his age and experience. He comes with clean X-rays of his front feet, navicular, fetlocks and back. I know no history of colic, abscess or ulcers. If you are looking for a horse you can love the rest of his life Theo is for you. He has the mind, training and ability to go in many different directions. He has the potential to continue to move up in his dressage career or just be everyone’s favorite horse to hack around.
