Charlie is a sweet, handsome TWHBEA registered 9-year-old black Tennessee Walking Horse gelding, who is approx 15.1 hands tall. He has excellent ground manners, is easy to catch in the field, goes in and out of his stall politely and is safe at feeding time with no food aggression issues. He stands snub tied or cross-tied, picks up all four feet easily, and can be touched and groomed everywhere, including his sheath. He is good for the farrier, has been shod (in the past) and is currently barefoot, with solid hooves. He takes a saddle and bridle very politely, standing still for both, and is not cinchy. He also stands ground tied very nicely. He is easy to control under saddle, is respectful of the bit and slows down, stops, and speeds up easily. After you have sped him up, he will slow down and relax...not having to go-go-go. He will wait until he's asked to pick up speed. He isn't heavy on the reins, and only requires just a light touch. He also stands still when stopped under saddle, and doesn't get prancy. He has been ridden on the road and is traffic safe, is trail savvy, and was even shown some when he was younger. He loads and trailers well. You can see all of this in his sale videos, and even notice that the rain was pounding on the metal roof and you can see my husband going up and down a ladder and hear a loud noise as he's working on stuff in our barn, and Charlie didn't care. Charlie is not nippy, no buck, no rear, no bolt! He is very sweet and loves to be loved on and cuddled! He does great on grass, not foundering. Buy him today and ride him tomorrow safe. I would recommend an advanced beginner on up for him simply because a Walking Horse will move on out when asked. He is up-to-date on all vaccines, coggins, and farrier trim. We took Charlie in on a two for one trade and he's a great boy but we don't need another horse right now. Come on out and try out Charlie and take him home today! Located in Ball Ground, GA.
