Sport is a 10-year-old, 15.1-hand, double registered gelding who is truly something special. He would be fabulous for the right person, as he is on the sensitive side and would not be suitable for a beginner or nervous rider.
He is engaging, friendly, and loves interacting with both people and horses. Sport is looking for someone with strong horsemanship skills and an active riding style, as he is still a young horse. He enjoys playing with other horses and people and is well-schooled in all arena work.
He knows one-rein stops, two-handed stops, backup, turn on the forehand and haunches, side pass, opening gates, and confidently crosses water. He is surefooted, a good climber, and has seen plenty of trails, so very little bothers him. He rides out alone or in groups, loads like a dream, and is excellent for the farrier and veterinarian. He is up to date on all care and has always received great attention.
Sport is also wonderful with dogs, bikes, traffic, semi trucks, ATV, bridges, lakes, rivers, and even the ocean. I have lots of videos that I will post, but he is currently being taken back through my program to make sure he is fully ready for his new owner.
He excels on trail, but would also be a great fit for gaited dressage. He has lovely gaits, including the flat walk, running walk, saddle gait, rack, fox trot, and canter.
