Don't let her name fool you! Cersei is an absolutely lovely OTTB red mare looking for her new home. She is an in-your-pocket type of gal, kind, and eager to please. She is a champ on the trails, either alone or with others and rides beautifully in an arena. She is sensitive and expressive, and needs a confident rider. She loads great with or without a buddy; we have done so many solo trips to Oakridge (she loves to amble quietly along a nice wooded trail, across streams and up-n-down steep hills, and across bridges, and when asked will take a nice trot through the more open spaces)!

Cersei is barefoot, stands wonderfully for the farrier (will stand at liberty when she trusts her farrier). No bite, buck, rear, or bolt. Likes to toss her head and pop into the canter, but once she gets going is smooth with lots of energy. Cersei rides in a snaffle bit, will ride off your seat if you are soft enough, and is very sensitive and responsive and extremely forgiving. She will take a beginner beautifully at the walk and trot, but needs a more confident and experienced rider at the canter. She is naturally forward-thinking with a good engine, can get silly, but always stays sensible and rideable. In the barn she is easy to have around and very friendly. She is uncomplicated, lower in the pecking order, and happy to hang out with her person in a nice grassy spot. She loves having a job to do and thrives in routine, and has some introduction to jumping (she has enjoyed the work when doing jumps in a lesson).

Cersei is a higher maintenance girlie (she gets alfalfa and ForageFirst to keep ulcers away). She needs consistent work to keep her tuned up; can get a bit sticky when not ridden for weeks, and needs a gentle, slow paced routine when returning to work. Cersei is very sensitive to her saddle fit and performs the best when she is comfortable; she will let you know when her saddle is irritating her!

Cersei would be appropriate for a junior or adult amateur looking for a more forward ride.
She is husband safe at the walk/trot (my hubby, who had never been around horses till he met me, has ridden her on multiple occasions, even bareback), though I would recommend a couple lessons on her to better understand Cersei's unique quirks under saddle.
