Faith is a truly special young mare with an exceptionally kind, gentle, and willing personality. She is broke to ride & drive and she will continue to receive training, both on the ground, under saddle, and in harness until the perfect home is found.
Faith is the type of mare who wants to be your best friend. She is always the first to greet you at the gate, loves attention and grooming, and genuinely enjoys being around people. She has an incredibly sweet, "in-your-pocket" personality and is the kind of horse that quickly becomes everyone's favorite. This mare truly has a personality that is hard not to fall in love with. She is even loved by everyone in the neighborhood, People driving by often stop to admire her, and she has certainly made a special place in all of our hearts.
Under saddle, Faith is very willing and eager to learn. Her training under saddle has been done slowly and correctly as she is young. She will walk, trot, and lope, side-pass both directions, cross creeks, navigate through the woods, and go over logs. She has also been introduced to the ball, which she absolutely loves to kick around. She is willing to try new things and is very eager to learn.
Faith stands quietly to be saddled, hitched, bathed, and for the farrier. She pastures well with other horses, stalls without issue, and currently requires no maintenance. She is wearing regular metal shoes due to being on the road but has also gone barefoot successfully with no issue.
Faith's age may initially make some people hesitate, but she has no mean bone in her body. She has never reared/bolted/bucked in any way. Occasionally she does like to get playful under saddle or out in the pasture but its just how her personality is. She has very little spook and is handled confidently by the 4-year-old and 8-year-old children. She has even taught herself to go back to the barn after a day of training. While she is still young and, like any young horse, continues to gain experience, she has an excellent foundation and an incredibly willing attitude.
Faith has also been getting exposure to traffic. She may occasionally look at a passing vehicle, but she does not become overly reactive, and we believe continued exposure will only make her more confident and comfortable on the road.
