Woodrow is a fancy 2 year old palomino gelding with a solid start and promising future for the showpen. His siblings have made exceptional rope horses and cow horses and are known for their kind nature and sensible mind. This young gelding is every bit as promising, is a big flat traveler and very attractive to the eye with good balance and pedigree. He’s straight legged, tracks even and sound, and will mature around 14.3/15 hands. He’s kind enough an amature could easily finish out on their own. He doesn’t have a big motor and is eager to please. We prioritize work outside of the arena on our 2 year olds to keep their minds fresh and stimulated - Woodrow has led a good handful of trail rides for our dude ranch trail rides we host and can navigate difficult crossings/obstacles with little intervention from his rider. You won't find a gelding this young who is as aware of his footing and can think about his approaches to obstacles as Woodrow. His skills in the arena are still rudimentary - he has a good stop, will lope both ways on both leads, and wants to be soft. He’s been exposed to cattle by bringing them in from the pastures, running them up the alley to the chute and separating pairs in the catch pen. He has a lot of natural draw and expression to a cow.
