Harley wants to be someone's Rodeo star. She’s smart, athletic, and needs a job! Very friendly and loves people. A granddaughter of A Streak Of Fling & Dash Ta Fame!
Ties, Hauls, Hobbles, Clips, Bathes, Blankets. Good for the Farrier with excellent feet, has been barefoot her whole life until last summer when I had her shod. She is currently barefoot again for winter.
Listed briefly last fall, Harley has spent the winter being my “right hand” and helping with my outside horses. She thinks it’s pretty cool that everyone comes to visit her (or so she thinks) and I have put a number of my clients on her for lessons. I have hauled her to a couple barrel races over the winter to do Time-Onlys, and she has done well. Great in the warm-up pen with all the other horses and really wants to hunt the barrels.
She easily walk, trot, lopes as she should. Knows her leads and a good many maneuvers. Haunches-In, snappy Rollbacks, starting Lead Changes…
She tracks a calf sled and calves (very cowy!), has been introduced to the box. Currently trotting the barrel pattern and starting to lope through.
Over 300 miles logged in the mountains on all kinds of terrain, but better in a group.
Most of these photos are from last spring, and I have more training videos upon request. She was in training with Pursuit Equine for 2 months last fall, learning to be a rope horse and getting patterned!
