Meet Blueberry Waffles, the perfect starter pony for any aspiring cowboy or cowgirl! Blueberry is a wonderful first-time riding and driving pony, a dependable babysitter, and would also make an excellent therapy pony. At only 33 inches tall, he’s even small enough to ride in the back of a suitable car or truck! Blueberry is broke to both ride and drive and is safe and easygoing either way. He is never in a hurry and is definitely on the lazier side—his biggest motivation in life is food! The little cowboy shown riding and driving him in the videos was a complete beginner who had never done either by himself. Within just one day, Blueberry helped him gain confidence, and the two quickly became best buddies. He has been asking his parents ever since when he can come back and ride “his pony” again! Blueberry is the kind of pony a child will remember forever. He is small enough for kids to lead, brush, love on, and enjoy like a giant puppy dog. He has a sweet, willing personality and loves attention. In a world where many kids would rather be inside on electronics, Blueberry is the kind of pony who makes them excited to get outdoors. We owned both of Blueberry’s parents and have known him since the day he was born. When he was tiny, he was carried around like a puppy because he was simply too cute to resist! He has been handled, played with, and included in all kinds of kid shenanigans his entire life. The kids have led him everywhere, tied him around the yard while they played, brushed him, and treated him like a giant teddy bear. He is extremely tolerant and doesn’t mind much of anything—as long as snacks are involved! Blueberry can be ridden in just a halter and is easy to control. He crosses creeks and logs and will go nearly anywhere he is asked. He stepped onto the teeter-totter the very first time he was introduced to it, and we have also started teaching him the lay-down cue. His ground manners are excellent. He stands well for hoof trimming, the veterinarian, Coggins testing, and vaccinations. He is friendly, easy to catch, loads willingly into a trailer, car, or truck, and hauls quietly. Blueberry is still a stud. We originally left him intact because of his beautiful blue roan coloring and exceptionally calm, quiet nature, although we have never bred him. He does not act stud-like at all, and we often forget he is still intact. He could easily be gelded if his new owner does not wish to breed him. Blueberry would also be a wonderful therapy pony. He is comfortable being led into different places and buildings and is truly a point-and-go kind of guy—you point, and he goes. Whether you are looking for a therapy pony, driving pony, or safe babysitter pony for your children, Blueberry Waffles is the real deal.
