MEET MOOSE!
2-Year-Old American Miniature Horse Gelding - 30” - Class B
Moose is a young pocket horse with two years of real-world experience. He has already been deliberately exposed to people, crowds, traffic, sounds, movement, and environments beyond what most horses experience over their whole lifetime.
*Some* experiences include:
• Foothill walks and runs with other runners & bicyclists
• Downtown streets with traffic, pedestrians, & crowds
• School, nonprofit, community & law enforcement events
• Children’s birthday parties & holiday gatherings
• Crowds, loud music, bright/blinking lights & costumes
• Enthusiastically rides elevators & crosses bridges (he seems to really like elevators)
• Loads calmly into vehicles using a dog ramp
• House/potty trained
• Nearly perfect walk, trot, whoa voice cues on longe line
& introduced to jumping
• Excellent farrier manners
• UTD on everything
Moose is confident, curious, and willing, and has a perfect foundation for someone looking for a driving prospect, therapy/facility prospect, educational or community outreach horse—or simply an exceptional family companion.
He is not a certified therapy horse because I was unable to find certifications in Idaho, but his extensive experience in unique environments gives him an excellent foundation for someone interested in pursuing that direction. I will also throw out there that I have never been turned down during an outreach event because he doesn't have a certification.
Moose has already learned to navigate a very big world. His willingness to experience new things makes him the life buddy you didn't realize you needed, like he was for me :)
Moose is being offered only because I am going off to college. He deserves the opportunity to continue his unique journey with the right person and the right home.

If you made it this far, you are probably really interested. He does have a really impressive resume, but he is also just so goofy with a kind heart. He takes about a week of work to earn his trust, but he trusts like a mare - so fully - and would do anything with and for you if you ask, and will trust you to have his back in turn (when we call, I have a few stories of him being an absolute gem in scary situations). He will play with you like a bouncy, respectful little puppy, take a nap with you, and loves to be told how wonderful he is. He loves to make us laugh and is always finding a new ridiculous way to be a good goofy boy. He knows when it is time to work hard or be calm, and I have so many stories of him slowing down to meet the energy of disabled or elderly people in a capacity I have never seen a young horse do.
I would do anything for this horse, and right now, that includes finding him a home that will cherish him as much as we have had the pleasure of doing the last two years.
