"Obi" is a 17.1hh, 1300lb gelding that is capable of going in any direction.

Obi is a true gentleman who is respectful and safe to handle on the ground. He ties, bathes, loads in the trailer with ease, stands for the farrier, and operates smoothly and softly on the halter rope. Obi has a solid understanding of all aspects of groundwork.

This horse has a willing attitude and a forgiving demeanor under saddle. Obi is soft in the bridle and has a solid foundation of lateral work, including shoulder-in, leg-yield, simple transitions, and executes his transitions up and down smoothly. This horse has 3 active and correct gaits with significant impulsion, which would make him a talented Dressage or Cowboy Dressage horse. Obi has a big motor, without being too forward or heavy in the bridle. Despite his large, ground covering stride, this horse is very comfortable to ride, with a lope you could sit all day.

In addition to being a talented horse under saddle and on the ground, Obi is kind and gentle enough to be suitable for kids. He has had kids of multiple ages on him and continues to maintain his willing attitude and remain safe enough for a less experienced rider. Videos available.
Obi is up to date on all vaccines, worming, teeth, and has a clean bill of health. This horse has never had any lameness or need for a vet visit. Obi is an easy keeper who can also go barefoot. He is currently shod all the way around. This horse had a full set of x-rays done in 2024, and owner welcomes current x-rays and PPE at buyer's expense.
