Shasta has been ridden and shown by children and has spent the past two years showing in Ranch Riding with a 10-year-old rider, earning ribbons and buckles. She is more whoa than go and has genuine experience with youth riders. We feel she is best suited to a child who already knows how to ride rather than a complete beginner.

Her education includes started reining work, picking up her leads, working off leg pressure, carrying a flag, swinging a rope, ponying other horses, opening gates, crossing bridges, trail riding, and handling busy show environments. She rides out alone or with other horses.

Shasta loads and trailers beautifully, bathes well, ties, and is good for the farrier. She is offered for sale only because her young rider has outgrown her.
