Navy is a personable gelding who is looking for his next person. He is always eager to please and loves to learn new things. He will meet you at the gate nickering when you come to the barn. Navy has been in my care for the last 2 years and life is moving me on to a new chapter, and sadly Navy needs a new home since I am unable to provide the care and attention he deserves.

Navy does best with an intermediate rider, since he is hot/excitable in new environments and with new people. He does best with a regular training schedule and is generally an easy laid back horse. He is easy to get moving, and his preferred gaits are at a slower pace, but does have variability when asked. He has a smooth and comfortable canter. He has been primarily ridden Western, but does great in an English saddle. He is being sold as a flat only horse, since he does best physically with light regular riding. He does need regular maintenance of chiro to feel his best. He would be great prospect for trail rides, dressage, and Western dressage. He has been out of riding work for the last month, so he will need a quick refresher. He is currently being maintained with groundwork, lunging, and liberty.

His attributes: He has had training rides/groundwork training for the past 2 years with various trainers. He has been exposed to dogs, cats, chickens, goats, umbrellas, tarps, foam noodles. He likes to do a little liberty. He loads well, stands for farrier, and is great with vets. He has an eager personality and likes to learn with the right guidance.

His Quirks: He is hot with new environments and needs a confident rider/handler. He has a club foot on front right (needs a wedge pad and knowledgeable farrier). He needs a rider with confidence because he can be opinionated. He is a baby when injured, so you will know even the slightest injury/wound from him sulking in the corner of his pen. He is curious and likes to get little scrapes all the time. I have not been able to fully figure out if there are any previous injuries in his past life due to no contact from his racing days.
