Al is the definition of an honest and willing partner. He’s been very dependable for his adult amateur owner on all of their adventures, and she’s even put her kids on him. I never label horses as bombproof because at the end of the day they are prey animals, but he’s pretty close to it. He’s been ridden on the beach, trail riding, swimming, has gone to schooling shows, derbies, and some events. He has one USEA event under his belt at BN. He’s a bit more go than woah when jumps are involved, nothing unmanageable, just enthusiastic. Al is excellent for the vet and farrier and will load on any trailer. He knows all the groundwork stuff and will rope over fences too. The caveat because he’s almost a unicorn and we don’t want to waste anyone’s time - he does best in pads all the way around, we’re happy to share recent rads of his feet to serious parties. He also had most of the winter off due to a strangles outbreak at his previous barn, while he was never sick, it still was quite a stressful situation and he ended up quarantining at a farm with no other horses or animals in sight before he was able to move to to his current barn. When getting him going again we found he had developed ulcers, he was treated and rescoped and is all clear. However he now gets sucralfate daily as a preventative measure. He’s also had his hocks injected. Al is game for absolutely anything you could possibly think of, he’d be a great confidence building partner that has a lot of years left in him and no known limitations. While his owner would love to keep him, she has an extremely busy schedule with work and 2 young kids and wants to take a break from horse ownership. 📍 near Ann Arbor MI Low 5s starting with a ✌️ Message Nicole at 734-649-3959 for more info or pictures, I sometimes miss Facebook messages!
