FV Mys’Tiki, affectionately known as Tiki, is a beautiful 15.1-hand grey purebred Arabian mare of old-line CMK heritage. She combines a highly interesting preservation pedigree with a calm temperament, excellent manners and useful trail experience. For someone interested in CMK and Crabbet bloodlines, Tiki deserves a serious look. She may be particularly interesting to a preservation-minded breeder looking for a mature, well-handled mare with traditional Arabian bloodlines who is also a pleasant riding horse. Tiki is 3x3 linebred to the influential CMK stallion Aurab, with Aurab appearing through Aulrab on her sire’s side and again through her dam line. Her pedigree also carries important old CMK and Crabbet influence through *Silver Vanity, Abu Farwa and other foundation bloodlines. Her registration and complete pedigree documentation are available to serious buyers. Tiki has never had a foal, because we are not breeders, so she is not being represented as a proven broodmare. Anyone considering her for breeding should perform whatever reproductive evaluation they feel appropriate. Tiki has primarily been a pleasure and trail horse. She has been gently trail-ridden in both Vermont and Florida and has also been ponied extensively. Her ridden trail experience has been in company, so I cannot represent how she would behave riding out alone. She has been ridden throughout her life in a treeless endurance saddle, bitless and without spurs. She is responsive to light cues and has been trained using subtle aids. She is calm and trustworthy for an experienced rider, but because of the way she has been trained, I would not consider her a beginner’s horse. Tiki is gentle, sensible and exceptionally pleasant to handle. She: • Ground-ties quietly for grooming and tacking • Stands well for mounting and dismounting • Is excellent for the veterinarian and farrier • Clips and bathes well • Loads and trailers extremely well • Has no known stable vices — no cribbing, weaving, biting or kicking She is an experienced traveler and has repeatedly made the approximately three-day trip between Vermont and Florida. She is accustomed to traffic, water crossings, dogs and wildlife, including deer, coyotes and occasional bears around our rural property. Tiki has been barefoot throughout her life. If ridden regularly over hard gravel or rocky terrain, I would recommend hoof boots for her comfort. Tiki has been healthy throughout her life with one recent exception that I want to disclose completely. In the fall of 2025, our longtime hay supplier was unable to provide hay, so I purchased hay from another farm. Although it appeared to be excellent hay, I later discovered that it was very high in sugar. Tiki is an easy keeper, and during that period she experienced an episode of founder/laminitis. Radiographs were taken and showed no rotation. She recovered well and is now off maintenance medication and sound. She is back on pasture, walks, trots and canters freely in the field
