If you're looking for a young, safe horse who has had everything done thoughtfully from the moment he was born—a horse with the temperament, training and versatility to be successful in a variety of directions—Legacy may be the partner you've been looking for.
Legacy was bred and raised by us, and we have known him every day of his life. He was imprinted at birth, started with daily handling and ground manners from the beginning, and then given plenty of time to simply grow and mature here on our farm. We intentionally waited until he was four years old to start him under saddle.
Legacy has now been in professional training for seven months. He is doing solid First Level dressage work and is beginning to play with Second Level. He has a great work ethic with a calm, willing attitude. He listens, learns quickly and genuinely tries to please his rider.
While Legacy has not yet been shown, he has developed a wonderful foundation at home and is ready to make his show-ring debut with his next partner.
Versatility describes Legacy very well. His Dressage training has given him a lovely foundation in the arena, but he is just as happy getting out of it. He enjoys trail riding and can be ridden English or Western.
One of Legacy's greatest attributes is his temperament. He is quiet, kind, level-headed and exceptionally personable. He is suitable for all ages of riders in a program and has been ridden by beginners, younger riders and more experienced riders. He is not an anxious horse under saddle and has consistently shown us a steady, willing mind.
He is also simply a pleasure to have around.
Legacy willingly comes to you from the field, has excellent ground manners, stands well for the farrier and grooming, and loads and hauls well. He has no known vices. He is very social with other horses, loves his turnout time and still has plenty of play in him.
Legacy is registered with the Friesian Sporthorse Association and is by Wilco B.L. (Friesian) and out of RR Forever Invited (AQHA). His Friesian pedigree has produced quite impressive Gold / Bronze Elite award winning Dressage Horses. His Quarter Horse pedigree includes the well-known top Western Pleasure sire Invitation Only and also Zippo Pine Bar bloodlines.
Full disclosure is important to us: Legacy has a history of a sticky stifle that was treated conservatively. He responded well to treatment, is currently showing no issues and is working comfortably. Additional information is available to serious buyers.
Legacy is a personal favorite, and finding the right home and partnership for him is extremely important to us. He has been raised with patience, given a thoughtful start and provided a strong foundation without being rushed.
