13-Year-Old Morgan/QH/Cross Gelding • 15hh • IHJA Registered • Show Experience • English/Western Looking for the right home for this incredibly sweet and versatile 13-year-old Morgan/Quarter Horse gelding, approximately 15hh. He has participated in shows, jumps, and can be ridden English or Western. He schools walk, trot and canter and is a willing, experienced horse who enjoys having a job. He’s currently working on Saddleseat training too! He has a calm, personable disposition and wonderful ground manners. He comes to me in the pasture, takes treats gently, loads and trailers well, stands nicely for the farrier, and is respectful and easy for the veterinarian. He is a loving horse who recognizes his owner. He puts his head close and likes kisses. He lets you brush him all over. He is also comfortable around other horses and will stand and wait patiently with the group. He would be considered lower in the packing order for sure. He’s a horse in the pasture who finds another nice buddy and stays out of the way of the bigger or dominant horses. Highlights: * 13-year-old gelding * Completely UTD vet care, teeth done, negative Coggins, all current * Morgan/Quarter Horse mix with hidden paint markings * Approximately 15.1 hh with shiny chestnut coat * IHJA registered (show jumping) * Walk/trot/canter. Canter with experienced riders * Jumps (green but willing) * Rides English or Western * Willing and responsive * Loads and trailers well * Stands for the farrier * Good for the veterinarian * Good manners around other horses * Easy to catch — comes to you in the pasture * Takes treats gently * Teeth recently floated * Recent farrier/shoeing * Current on vaccinations and deworming (hasn’t had fall shots yet) Rider suitability: He was represented to me as a beginner horse when I purchased him. Based on my own experience, I would not consider him appropriate for a young child or an absolute beginner. I believe he would be best suited to a confident beginner working with a trainer through an intermediate rider. My 10 year old son has been riding for only a few months and can ride him and control him without difficulty. My 7 year old is small and cautious, and he takes advantage of her. This is why I am selling him. I love this horse like my family member. He is a sweet horse who is deserving of a proper home. He gets along with dogs, cats, kids, adults, other horses. At his age, I simply cannot train him to be appropriate for my tiny timid seven-year-old but he is the right Horse for 90% of people!
