Ditto is the type of horse people simply do not part with. And truthfully, if I weren't at a point in my life where I want and need a barn badly enough to make some difficult decisions, he wouldn't be offered for sale. Someone is going to be incredibly lucky to call this horse theirs.

Ditto is absolutely loaded with personality. He is pretty sure he should be the center of attention wherever he goes, but he manages to believe that without ever being pushy or obnoxious. He's the kind of horse that makes you smile just having him around.

Under saddle, Ditto is forgiving, dependable, uncomplicated, patient, sensible, and quiet-minded. He's handy and knows his job, but he doesn't have so many fancy buttons that an inexperienced rider has to worry about accidentally pushing the wrong one. He is forgiving of mistakes and makes riding easy and enjoyable.

He's safe enough for the kids, husband safe, and still handy and responsive enough that an experienced rider can get on and genuinely enjoy him. He's sensible without being a deadhead and quiet without being dull. You don't have to sacrifice having a nice, broke horse just to have a safe one.

On the ground, he's just as uncomplicated. Ditto is super easy to catch, loads and hauls well, and is comfortable around the everyday chaos of life. Dogs, kids, sheep, chickens and general commotion don't give him much reason for concern.

He's the kind of horse you can enjoy instead of manage. The kind you feel comfortable putting someone you care about on. The kind that quickly becomes everyone's favorite.

Ditto is worth his weight in gold, and horses like him are incredibly hard to replace. Finding him the right home matters far more to me than simply finding him a home. He is barefoot, but used to wearing boots for rough long trail rides. He's been used many trail miles, and in the arena, to sort and gather cattle.
