Ripley is a kind, easygoing 4-year-old gelding with the sort of patience and temperament that are hard to teach. He is exceptionally safe, sweet, and uncomplicated, making him a wonderful option for an adult amateur, recreational rider, or someone looking for a young horse they can confidently develop in the direction of their choosing.

Under Saddle
Ripley has a solid walk, trot, and canter in both directions and approaches his work with a calm, willing attitude. He will never offer more speed than his rider asks for, but he is still responsive and doesn't require constant effort to keep him moving forward.

More than anything, Ripley wants to do the right thing. He is forgiving when his rider makes a mistake and has the kind of steady personality that allows a rider to relax and enjoy the ride rather than constantly managing the horse underneath them.

Ripley has been ridden both English and Western and could continue developing in virtually any direction. He has the temperament and foundation to make a lovely all-around horse, and with additional strength, fitness, and training, he could certainly continue his education in dressage or another competitive discipline.

At this point, however, Ripley does not have the fitness or advanced training for someone looking for a finished competition horse. He is still just four years old and would need additional conditioning and education to pursue more serious dressage goals.

For someone whose priority is simply having a safe, quiet, enjoyable horse, he doesn't need to become anything more than what he already is.

On the Trails
Ripley is wonderful outside the arena and has proven himself to be a quiet, dependable trail partner. He is happy to head out, relax, and enjoy the ride without needing constant reassurance or management from his rider.

His naturally sensible personality makes him especially appealing for someone who wants a horse they can enjoy both in the arena and out on the trails.

Around the Barn
Ripley may be even easier on the ground than he is under saddle.

He will happily stand tied or cross-tied for hours without fussing, is polite to handle, and gets along well with other horses in a herd. He is incredibly patient and has a genuinely sweet personality that makes him enjoyable to have in the barn every day.

He's the kind of horse who doesn't make simple things complicated.
