3yo Imported Irish Cob Gelding This horse is so quiet, it's laughable. He's the type of horse you put your friends who have never ridden on. We didn't really break him, we just got on and started riding him. "Born Broke" we say. You could not touch him for 6 months and he would be the same ride. He's 15h, with much more growing and filling out to do. Bred to pull and carry weight, he isn't fast but does not tire easily. Completely broke to dogs, hacks out so quietly you'd think he had an IV drip of ace. Once he does get excited enough to trot, he is a surprising mover (see video). If hair is your thing, he has that in spades. He will grow luxurious feather and mane and a tail as big around as a small tree. Hair is *not* my thing, so I have him hogged and clipped but to each their own. He's been to a paper chase early this spring and was great, despite still being a colt and shipping in the trailer with a mare. Will go cubbing at first opportunity. We gelded him because he doesn't quite meet the breed standard to warrant staying entire (not because of behavior). He a card-carrying Irish Cob, with a passport from the Irish Cob Studbook. He is by Sunshine Kid. Here in the states, some people would say Gypsy Vanner. Registration with GVHA pending. Easy keeper, good hard cob feet. No Vices. Marshall, VA
