Dolly!! She sells August 28th, 2026 in Loveland, Colorado at the Josh White Auctions, Inc. Summer Sale! Hip #28 JRHAYPATCHFERNROCKET "Dolly" 2013 AQHA Palomino Mare. She is a 16 hand, stout 1300 lb. registered AQHA palomino mare. We have owned this mare since she was 2 years old, and she was born and raised on a ranch. She has been all over the mountains in the Weminuche Wilderness, hauling pack strings for outfitters and has made several 30-mile trips in a single day. You will not find another that steps out like this mare on the trail ready to go to work. She has ridden thousands of miles in the high country and is willing to go anywhere you ask and is sure footed. Dolly has also been used extensively for all aspects of ranch work, has tracked the dummy and roped live steers out of the box, and roped live everything from calves to large steers in the pasture. She is far from just a ranch and trail horse as she is very enjoyable to ride in the arena. She is nicely broke and will require a light handed, confident rider - she is not for a beginner or kid. She is patterned on barrels and poles and has clocked in the 1D-3D when she was competing regularly but has not been entered in several years. Dolly hobbles, high lines, loads easy in and out of the trailer. Dolly has also made her mark as a broodmare and had a beautiful palomino colt in 2025 - she was a great mom and had an easy pregnancy and birth. Her sire MP Haypatch Tiger has had offspring compete at the highest level in rodeo in multiple events - steer wrestling, barrel racing, and team roping. Her grandsire PC Frenchmans Hayday needs no introduction, and her bottom side is a mix of ranch and race blood. Dolly is current on shots, wormer, teeth, and feet. She has good dark feet and is great for the farrier. This mare has been part of our family for 11 years and we would love to see her go to a great home.
