8-Year-Old • 16.2h Thoroughbred Gelding
A true barn favorite with years of experience showing successfully with junior riders, consistently earning top-three placings at local shows. Able has been to HiTS Culpeper last summer and did beautifully in a 2'3 jumper class with a 10 year old pilot for his first ever Licensed outing.
He has spent years in a private lesson/training program, teaching riders from beginner through advanced, and has extensive summer camp experience. Safe, sensible, forgiving and experienced both at home and away at shows, he is the kind of horse every program loves to have in the barn. Able also has a solid dressage foundation. He competed in the 2021 Retired Racehorse Project show and came in 26th out of 110+ entries in dressage as a 3 year old.
He has proven himself with a wide variety of riders and brings the combination that is increasingly hard to find: size, miles, safety and genuine versatility. Able is 95% Auto changes at shows but at home he is 50% of the time as he just doesn't try as hard at home. No doubt a lesson horse trait he has picked up. Be that as it may he goes over anything and everything whether at home or at shows so he is a very reliable guy. Able would benefit from routine maintenance with his next owner if they are planning on being show minded/climbing the levels together. Price reflects this.
Up to date with recent Coggins, vaccines and float and ready to go to his new A++ home!
