Looking for a beautiful, sweet, and rock-solid partner? He is a 5 year-old Percheron x Quarter Horse gelding. He is a stunning dark bay color, turning black during winter times with a thick mane and tail, a tiny star, and one white back sock.
I bought this sweet boy in hopes of getting a trail companion that I could gently school into the perfect gentleman, however due to personal circumstances I have to return home to Europe and will not get to give him the loving home de deserves. Therefore he is sold due to no fault of his own.
Temperament & Safety: He has a heart of gold and an "in-your-pocket" personality. He is exceptionally gentle and proven safe around children. I have beautiful video proof of a child riding him, as well as footage of him sweetly walking up to a child to get forehead cuddles. He is also a total gentleman for the vet, stands completely still for dental work, and loads perfectly into the trailer every single time.
Training & Experience:This gelding has a wonderful, practical foundation out on the prairie. He has experience riding out with other horses in a full Western saddle with ropes attached, and has done a little bit of light work on a feedlot. Under saddle, his walk and trot are perfect snd steady. He does not yet know how to canter under saddle, making him a safe, clean slate to finish your way. I will still call him a project as he has not perfected a canter but he is a willing boy ready to work with you. He has a perfect body condition score of 5 and is up to date on all care. Home Preference:Because of his quiet nature, love for the outdoors, and green canter, I would highly prefer him to go to a dedicated trail, mountain, or casual family home where he can be someone's companion and outdoor partner. However he could really go any direction as he’s very dedicated and pleasing. He is currently living out in a small herd which he really thrives in, and though he’s bottom of the pecking order generally he finds mates amongst other horses that aren’t too pushy on him and is never the one to cause any drama.
