I’m going to be completely honest about this mare because she deserves the right home and the right person.
She is a 9-year-old BLM Mustang who is still learning and needs someone who understands that a mustang is a process, not a finished product.
She currently:
• Picks up her front feet
• Lunges
• Takes a saddle
• Takes a bit
• Trailers nice
• Is sweet and genuinely wants to please
• Is willing to learn when given consistent, fair work
She is NOT for a beginner. She is not for someone who has “always dreamed of owning a mustang” but doesn’t have the experience, time, or knowledge to put into one. She is also not for someone looking for a horse to sit in the pasture for weeks at a time.
She needs CONSTANT, consistent work to continue progressing. Ideally, I would like to see her go to someone experienced with mustangs, or to a trainer who can provide her with the consistency and structure she needs.
She has a huge heart and really does love to please. She isn’t a bad mare — she’s a green mare who is learning. She needs someone patient enough to teach her, confident enough to handle her, and committed enough to keep putting the miles on her.
I am being picky about where she goes because $1,000 is not an excuse to throw her at the first person who shows up with cash. Her next home needs to be the right one.
