Billy the Kid is a BLM Mustang from the Muskrat Basin HMA. He is a two-year-old red gray gelding that is about 14.1-14-2 hands tall, He has kind heart and a willingness to try just about anything. He is currently being saddled and worked from the ground to prepare him to become someone’s riding partner when the time is right. He has also been exposed to a wide variety of desensitization, my goal has always been to keep him thinking, aware, and confident.
When Billy encounters something new, he may shuffle his feet or stretch out to take a closer look, but he never loses his willingness to learn. He trusts the person handling him, allowing each new experience to build his confidence. He has a solid foundation, giving his future owner a horse that is ready to be finished in the direction they choose; ranch, trails, all-around, and so much more
One of Billy’s greatest qualities is his mind. Even after having time off, he comes back to work as if he never skipped a beat. He retains what he learns, making each training session a continuation rather than starting over. Billy has the mind, build, and willingness to become whatever his next partner dreams of. His unique color and size are just an added bonus.
