Otis | 2023 Palomino paint Gypsy Vanner Gelding
If you love a big personality, here’s your potential unicorn!
Otis is great to catch, haul, bathe, fly spray, and hobble. He is going well under saddle and has been hooked to a wagon three times with great success. He has also been ground-driven in full harness quite a bit in preparation for the cart.
Otis has done a little bit of everything over the last 9 months, including trail riding, sorting cattle out on pasture, driving, packing, swimming, bareback riding, breakaway roping on slow cattle, trail courses, and a little bit of jumping. He has also had intermittent breaks from work.
He is still green in areas and a little mentally immature at times, but I believe he will grow into a super nice horse in the right hands. I would prefer an experienced rider continue his education.
He is really friendly and has been properly handled his entire life, but he is not a deadhead. In my opinion, that’s what makes him so much fun!
Otis is cowy! This horse loves to chase cows and has taken to breakaway roping them so far. He has a nice stop, which makes him even more fun on cattle.
