Thunder is a hard working gelding. Don’t let his age fool you, he out works all the young horses here on the ranch. He LOVES to work no matter what he’s doing and he’s got great stamina. He is a more forward moving horse. More go then whoa which is perfect for anyone wanting a ranch/ working horse or endurance horse. He does gait/rack but he also trots like a standard horse, he does not pace. His gaits are Walk/racking gait(extended walk/Tenneese walking horse walk)/standard trot/lope/canter. He’s been used to compete in western gaming events, give lessons to young students, been part of festivals and parades, does ranch work at my personal farm, even roped cattle off him. He’s a trail master, nothing spooks this guy, we fly drones around him often. He’s traffic safe and loads onto a trailer like a dream. Same horse on and off property. No buck, bolt or anything unsafe. He’s hobble trained for pit stops on trails & will go through any water, lakes, rivers etc. He’ll take you anywhere. He only has one quirk which is easy to work around. Since he’s so eager to work, if he’s pulled from pasture and tied directly to the hitching post without visiting the corral to expel some energy, he does paw out of excitement. You can either hobble him and he’ll stand like a gentleman or lunge him in the corral prior to making him stand/tie anywhere, to help him release built up energy. If lunged in a corral prior to tying him to the hitching post, he stands nicely to be saddled and such. Message me for photos and videos at 519-329-2146
