Gem is an 7/8 year old mustang mare from the Stinkingwater HMA in Oregon. She has a US brand.

Pros: Personality wise she is smart, sweet, a quick learner, gentle, safe and polite, cuddly, and loves people. I have done extensive work with her on the ground, and can lead, lunge, ground tie, comfortable with all tack, and has a lot of desensitization training. Not spooky or jumpy at all. Comfortable around dogs, cats, chickens, other animals, and people. You can catch her in a field. She is sound barefoot, and stands well for the farrier. No health issues, and up to date on vet care. Teeth floated fall/winter 2025. She has successfully foaled one time unassisted around 6 or 7 years old.

Gem had 30 days of training fall 2025, and is scheduled to go back for a re-start under saddle October 2026. Her price will increase once she is in training.

Cons: Green, needs someone to finish her training under saddle. She will return to professional training in Oct. 2026. She can be difficult to load, and we’re working on that. She has successfully loaded several times, but it’s still a process. She can be bossy in the field with other horses, and is fine 98% of the time, and other times throws some mean kicks.
