Beautiful purebred riding mare. Well broke to ride but rusty, as she had four foals in five years and is ready to continue her career as a riding horse. When I bought her in 2021 as a four year old, she was working under saddle and participating in some schooling shows. On a break from breeding last summer, we introduced her to trail riding; has been on probably five rides. Went through some mud, water, over logs, up/down hills, etc. Alert and forward, pretty smooth ride, not very spooky, just green on the trails. No buck/rear/bolt/balk, just a straight forward mare. Never been unsound, healthy, has big round hard non-clubby feet. I think she’d enjoy a trail or endurance home, or could continue her arena training for sport horse, hunter pleasure, or..?. Clips, hauls, bathes, tends to be higher on the pecking order but gets along with others. Highly suggest not breeding her as 3/4 foals have had stifle issues (fourth is still too young to test but will be). She herself has never had any soundness issues; PPE of course welcome. Prefer home on the east side of the mountains or a dryer climate, as she tends to be bug sensitive. Not bad, we manage it fine with spray and salve, but I think she’d be happier in a dryer climate.
