Buddy is 13.3hh, 8 y/o Paint Pony. He is a fun trail horse. He rides nicely in Western. We’ve used him to pony out colts, trail riding, and lessons. He is good for the farrier, chiro, and is up to date dental & vaccines. Buddy has great ground manners. He ties well, does great for baths, and loves pampering. He’s been around cattle, dogs, equipment, and general farm life.
He knows how to sidepass, leg yield, move his shoulders, steer off legs, and knows how to neck rein nicely. He picks up correct leads and rides smoothly. He has been ridden mainly by an 11 and 13 y/o this summer. He is tender-footed on the gravel roads; he may need shoes if riding a lot of rocky terrain. He is more whoa than go but will feed off of a nervous rider. Confident beginners will have no problems with him.
He lives in a herd, with both mares and geldings. He is currently on grass and alfalfa hay. He is an easy keeper. He’s easy to catch and loves getting attention.
