Zoetsje is a breathtaking KFPS Registered Stamboek Ster Friesian Mare (Monte 378 Sport x Sjaard 320), out of Trynke A.S. Ster. She earned 2nd Premie and Stamboek Ster through KFPS inspection and has the pedigree, presence, temperament, and extraordinary hair that make her a truly special Friesian.

Sired by the renowned Monte 378 Sport, Zoetsje certainly carries many of the qualities his offspring are admired for—especially her gentle disposition, willingness, and incredible amount of hair.

And Zoetsje's looks have quite literally put her in the spotlight. She was selected as a cover model for EquinElite grooming products at the Scottsdale Arabian Horse Show, specifically for her spectacular flowing mane and tail. With her incredible hair, feathering, and classic Friesian presence, she truly looks like she stepped out of a fairytale.

Zoetsje is also trained in dressage, broke to ride, and knows the Spanish walk. She is calm, exceptionally sweet, easy to handle, and has never bucked or reared. She loads, trailers, bathes, and stands well for the farrier.

At 19, she still has plenty to give, but she has earned a lighter chapter in life. Her serious showing and heavy-riding days are behind her. I would love to find someone who wants to enjoy her, give her a light job, and pamper and appreciate her for the incredible mare she is. A heavy riding or competition home is not what I am looking for.

She does need time to adjust to a new environment and will do best with a patient, knowledgeable person who allows her to settle in and build trust without rushing her.

Zoetsje is also a proven broodmare. She produced L. Guinevere X by Hessel 480, who has gone on to earn her own Stamboek Ster status and, most recently, 2nd Premie and Reserve Champion Mare at the 2025 Queen Creek, Arizona Keuring.

In the interest of complete transparency, Zoetsje does have a club foot. She was not born with it; it developed prior to coming into my care following inadequate hoof care. I have worked closely with my veterinarian and farrier to improve and manage it, and she has made significant progress—her heel now reaches the ground. Her new home must be committed to continuing appropriate farrier care, and I am happy to discuss her history and management openly with serious buyers.

I am not looking for a fast sale. The only reason I am offering Zoetsje is because I simply don't have the time to give her the attention she deserves. She does not need to leave. The right home matters far more than making a sale.

She will not go to just anyone. Veterinary references will be required and checked.
