We kept too many fillies last year, so we have decided to offer KT Hot Grande Mocha for sale. This is not an easy one to put on the market—Grande is a big, powerful filly with the size, substance and pedigree to become a tremendous ranch or performance prospect.

Dad may have jinxed her by choosing the name “Grande” before she was born because she came out looking half grown! She has continued to develop into a substantial, eye-catching bay filly with plenty of bone and shape.

Grande is sired by KT HotTimein Cowtown, “Tank,” whose pedigree combines proven reining and cow-horse genetics. Tank is by KR Gun Powder, the 2016 APHA Senior Reining World Champion and an earner of nearly $13,000 in NRHA competition in only nine shows. KR Gun Powder is by the legendary Colonels Smoking Gun and out of A Bueno Poco Dunit.

Tank’s dam, KT Cow Cuttin Hottie, is by Cow Cuttin Colonel, an accomplished cow horse with an NRCHA Superior Cow Horse award, AQHA Open and Amateur Performance ROMs, and numerous championships and finalist honors in reining and working cow horse competition.

Grande’s dam, KT Mocha Fudsey Lena, “Mocha,” is one of our favorite mares and consistently produces tremendous foals. Mocha carries a strong blend of performance and foundation bloodlines, including Smart Little Lena, Docs Oak, Tuff Continental, Jackie Bee, Imperial Dixie, Thirsty Blue Boy, Coy’s Bonanza, Wimpy, Skipper W and Little Joe the Wrangler. Anna’s riding horse, Jojo, is also a Mocha daughter.

Grande offers size, proven genetics and plenty of potential. She is available only because we retained too many—and if she stays here very long, we may talk ourselves into keeping her after all.
