Khalid is a very intelligent horse with a great mind, he has been very trainable in his time with us. We are selling Khalid as green as he has not had super consistent work and is only lightly started, his last ride was just in August.
We have tons of videos of him on the ground as well as his most recent riding videos.
This horse has the potential to go any a direction you want him to. Although we are happy to sell him to a companion or pasture pet home (what he is priced for) his current owner knows he would make an incredible endurance or trail horse with consistency and good finishing off in his training, this could be an incredible deal for someone who wants to finish this boy out their own way.
Khalid is your typical Arabian, spirited, energetic and a beautiful mover to top it off. He can be a little pushy on the ground when not worked consistently and is not for a beginner or young rider. He gets along great with other horses, currently in a large herd of geldings, I would put him in the middle of the pecking order. Not completely submissive but not aggressive.
His owner does not take this sale lightly, he has made his owner incredibly happy for the last 4 years and never intended on selling. Life has been busy and she simply wants him to go to a home where they will give him the love and attention he deserves. A a first right of refusal form will be signed upon purchase.
We would love to see him go to a home with primarily pasture turn out, but he is currently in a stall at night and does fine , but he’s not the kind of horse to keep stalled all day.
