✨ **A PIECE OF LORD OF THE RINGS HISTORY — FLORIAN'S DAUGHTER** ✨
🇺🇸 Offered to an American home — US$3,500
Meet Faye, a beautiful 15.2hh Hanoverian × Peruvian/Andalusian mare with an extraordinary story.
Her sire was FLORIAN
Florian was the beautiful Andalusian who portrayed Asfaloth, Arwen's horse, in Peter Jackson's The Lord of the Rings
Faye's connection to Florian is a very personal one.
After moving from Germany to New Zealand, I brought Faye's dam with me. By complete coincidence, I ended up in the same town where Jane (the owner of Florian)lived. I was simply contacting people locally looking for grazing for my mare — and that is how the connection began.
My mare subsequently grazed at Jane's property for several years. During that time I got to know Florian personally and had the privilege of riding him myself.
I still have photographs of those years, including photographs of me riding Florian and, most importantly, a photograph of Faye as a foal with her sire Florian.
Faye is therefore not simply a horse being marketed because of a distant film connection — she is Florian's daughter, with photographs and personal connections to the people who knew him.
Florian was not conventionally registered in a stud book, so his history is not represented by a traditional pedigree. Instead, Faye's connection to him can be supported through her breeding information, photographs and confirmation from people directly involved with Florian and her breeding.
