Tess, a QH-Fjord X, is a gem in absolutely every way. Only letting go of her if an ideal fit/great home shows up. Had planned to keep, train for trail when more mature, but meantime a new AQHA mare came surprisingly pregnant, and I now find myself with 4 when prefer keeping 3 (if colt were to leave once off dam, Tess a keeper). Tess is exceedingly kind and laid back, friendly and sweet, as well as beautiful. That gentle Fjord nature from dam plus athleticism from sire (reportedly a son of Shining Spark). 14h now and I’m guessing will top out at 14.2. Wonderful conformation and bone, great feet, thoroughly sound. Good for farrier and trimmed every 7-8 weeks. Well handled always: ties, leads, loads, and hauls quietly. She’ll be a breeze to train with her temperament and willingness and enjoyment of people. Weanling to yearling lived on big pasture. With me since yearling on several acres with a pond which she enjoys. Fjord people call her a brown dun, QH people a red dun!
