Smokin O Spark, affectionately known as "Elvis," is an absolutely striking golden palomino gelding with the kind of presence that makes you stop and look twice. His rich golden coat is set off by a long, light mane and tail, four high white stockings, and a bold blaze, giving him that classic, unmistakable palomino look. Elvis is thick made and exceptionally shapey, with a deep chest, substantial bone, a strong topline, and a big, powerful hip and hindquarter. He is balanced and correct with a handsome head and soft expression, combining plenty of substance with an athletic build. He looks every bit like a performance horse while still having enough eye appeal to stand out anywhere he goes.
Elvis is sired by the legendary Jacs Electric Spark, an earner of $85,907 with an incredible $4.2 Million in Progeny Earnings. His dam, Smokin O Lady, earned $3,953.74 herself and has produced $1,914.85 to date.
She is a daughter of the great Colonels Smoking Gun, better known as Gunner, giving Elvis an impressive combination of proven performance bloodlines on both sides of his pedigree. He is bred to be athletic, trainable, and versatile-and he certainly lives up to it.
Elvis has received a great reining foundation and knows all of the maneuvers. He has a huge stop, pretty circles, and solid spins, making him fun and stylish to ride in the arena. He is athletic and willing, with the foundation already there for someone to continue developing him in whichever direction best suits their goals. Whether that is reining, ranch riding, versatility, roping, or simply having an exceptionally nice horse to enjoy, Elvis has the tools to make a phenomenal partner.
His experience extends well beyond the arena. Elvis has been ridden extensively outside and exposed to all kinds of terrain, handling new situations with ease. He will cross creeks, travel across bridges, navigate rough terrain, and work through obstacle courses. We have also started tracking and heeling the roping sled off of him, and he has taken to it easily, showing yet another avenue where his natural ability and willingness could shine.
Elvis is simply fun to ride and enjoyable to have around, with a presence and style that make him stand out wherever he goes.
Between his golden palomino looks, stacked pedigree, reining foundation, outside experience, and promising start in the roping, he offers an exciting combination of talent and versatility. Elvis is the kind that could go on and make a standout partner in a variety of disciplines while looking pretty doing it.
