Meet Maximus, an incredible 5-year-old Percheron x Quarter Horse cross gelding standing at an impressive 16.3 hands, weighing 1,335 lbs, and sporting a striking blue roan coat with a sweet star marking. Despite his young age, Maximus possesses the calm, bombproof mind and deep experience of a 15-year-old!
All-Around Versatility: He is heavily trained across multiple disciplines, featuring extensive arena work, neck-reining, yielding, side-passing, pivoting, collecting softly, and even jumping/driving capabilities. He has also been ridden English and western, and goes bridle-less in the arena.
Bombproof Trail & Travel Companion: Experienced across multiple states and rugged terrains, Maximus crosses logs, bridges, rivers, and steep slopes with sure-footed confidence. He rides out alone or in groups, handles traffic, trucks stops, town environments, overnight camping trips, gunfire, farm equipment, and cows without batting an eye.
Patient Lesson & Family Horse: Having served as a lesson horse for children of all ages over the summer, he acts as a massive confidence builder. He is extremely forgiving, allows children to climb all over or underneath him, and stands patiently at the mounting block waiting for your cue.
Easy Handling & Ground Manners: Good for the farrier, excellent for clipping, bathing, and loading/hauling, and comes when called right to the gate.
Veterinary Inspection: Backed by a clean veterinary soundness exam from St. Francis Vet Clinic (Dr. Brooke Widner, DVM) with normal flexion tests and clear heart/lungs, plus a 30-day soundness guarantee from the consignor.
Big, beautiful, and remarkably gentle, Maximus is ready to be your next ultimate family farm horse or all-around partner!
