Meet Nico, a fun and personality-packed 6-year-old Norwegian Fjord / Brabant cross gelding standing at a solid 16.1 hands. Stout, striking, and incredibly versatile, Nico is a barn favorite wherever he goes!
All-Around Versatility: Heavily trained with extensive groundwork, arena work, and miles under his belt. He picks up the right lead every time, has a nice slow lope, side-passes both ways, pivots his front quarters, yields his hindquarters, and even does light English riding and small jumps.
Trail & Camping Pro: Sure-footed despite his size, Nico handles rugged trails, steep slopes, water crossings, logs, and overnight camping or hunting trips with ease. He rides out alone or in groups and is completely traffic-safe.
Lesson & Family Safe: Served as a reliable lesson horse at Signature Ranch for students of all ages and levels, acting as a gentle and confidence-building mount. He is completely free of bad habits (no bucking, kicking, biting, rearing, or bolting).
Ground Manners & Handling: Comes right over to the mounting block, stands tied, loves baths, and trailers wonderfully. (Note: He is timid around electric clippers, so his face and bridle path are trimmed with scissors).
Veterinary Inspection: Backed by a clean physical examination from St. Francis Vet Clinic (Dr. Brooke Widner, DVM) showing normal findings across all checked parameters.
Big, beautiful, and exceptionally well-rounded, Nico is ready to excel as your next trail mount, dressage partner, or family farm favorite!
