Meet Cubid, a 15.1 hand, 3-year-old chocolate Rocky Mountain Horse gelding with a flaxen mane and tail. Cubid has logged many trail miles and has been ridden by kids and timid adults, always helping build confidence levels.
Gait & Riding Style: He will flatfoot walk slowly on a loose rein or move on out when asked, featuring a natural gait and a nice racking speed up to 10 mph after completing two months of professional gaiting trail training.
Trail & Traffic Experience: Ridden extensively in the mountains of Eastern Kentucky, he is sure-footed on steep slopes, across deep creeks, over downed trees, and through rough terrain. He has been exposed to wildlife (deer, turkey), livestock, dogs, farm equipment, ATVs, and heavy traffic including cars, semi-trucks, log trucks, and dump trucks without acting spooky. He is also great for squirrel hunting off his back.
Ground Manners & Show Experience: Easy to catch, clip, bathe, tack up, load, and handle. He has been shown at local fun shows and always does well.
Veterinary Inspection: Backed by a health inspection from Eubank Veterinary Clinic (Samantha Stapleton, DVM) dated November 22, 2023, noting cooperative behavior, clear and normal heart and lung sounds at rest, no signs of lameness at a running walk on a firm surface, clear eyes, and a body condition score of 5.
