We’ve had Knight since he was 3, and he’s been part of our family ever since. Selling him is not an easy decision, and I’d rather be honest about that up front. A family situation means we can’t give him the time and attention he deserves right now, and he is a horse who really needs that. So we’re hoping to find him a kind, patient home where he’ll be treated as a partner and a best friend, not just a horse in the barn. On paper, he’s a 9-year-old, 16.3hh registered Irish Sport Horse gelding (passport included), black from nose to tail, and he turns heads everywhere he goes. But it’s his personality we’ll miss most. He’s gentle, affectionate and very forgiving, about a 4 out of 10 on the hot scale. He’s the type who wants to figure things out with you rather than just get on with it. He’s a true all-rounder. In dressage he’s schooling 4th Level with a lovely soft contact, and he’s balanced and responsive without ever being sharp. Over fences he’s confidently jumping 3'9" and we’ve started working toward 4'2". He’s been ridden by younger and less experienced riders and looks after them, but he’s also a big enough talent to excel with a pro. He would suit eventing, hunters or jumpers, or just a rider who wants to learn and grow with a horse they can trust. On the health side, he’s had a recent pre-purchase exam with full body X-rays, plus films of his back and neck, and bloodwork is available too. He has no history of lameness, colic or chronic issues, and he’s on no injections, no medications and no maintenance program. He’s sound, healthy and in consistent work. Teeth and farrier are up to date. He lives out with other horses and loves his turnout time. Knight bonds deeply with his person, so he’s not suited to a busy, high-turnover environment. He’d do best somewhere steady, where he’s valued and loved. If he sounds like the one for you, please get in touch. I’m happy to send more photos and videos and answer any questions.
