Kansas is a mare who has been through a difficult experience, and we want to be transparent about her journey.
In March, she lost her foal at birth. She suffered postpartum and became extremely nervous afterward. During that time, she would not allow anyone near her and understandably lost a lot of trust in people.
Since then, we have been giving her time, patience, and understanding. Little by little, she has been coming around and learning to trust again. She is not a mare we want to rush. She deserves someone who understands that rebuilding confidence takes time and is willing to continue that process with her.
Her pedigree carries respected foundation Quarter Horse bloodlines, including:
• Otoe’s Country Star
• Dallas Country
• Otoe’s Sun Country
• Docs Frosty Buck
• Doc’s Jack Frost
With generations of foundation ranch and performance breeding behind her, Kansas offers an opportunity for someone looking for color, bone, conformation, and quality bloodlines.
She could continue her journey as a riding horse with someone patient and experienced, or potentially become a valuable addition to a breeding program.
Kansas is a special mare, and we are looking for the right person—not simply the next person. Someone who will appreciate her quality, respect what she has been through, and give her the time she needs to become the confident mare she can be.
